Why enter the Hunter Trials?

Ready to put your horse and your riding skills to the test? Join us for one of Cape Hunt Club's most anticipated events of the year!

The Hunter Trials combines the excitement of cross-country with the fun of friendly competition.

This is NOT a hunt. This is a fun cross-country event where you can enter individually or in teams of 2 or 3. If you or your horse, needs a little confidence booster, this will be a golden opportunity for you, as you could have a lead rider with! Bring your instructor, or a friend, and bond with your horse on another level!

• 50cm Newcomers (Individual & Teams of 2)
• 70cm Qualified Hunter*
• 70cm Individual
• 70cm Teams of 2 & 3
• 80cm Individual & Teams of 2
• 90cm Open

⏱️ How it works
Ride as close as possible to the optimum time—without a stopwatch! Accuracy, rhythm and horsemanship are rewarded.

⭐ Qualified Hunter (70cm)
Open to riders and horses who have attended at least **5 Cape Hunt Club hunts** this season (or by invitation of the Master). Riders must be paid-up Cape Hunt Club members.

🎉 Stay after your round for the Prize Giving Ceremony and celebrate with fellow riders.

ENTRY FEES:
NB: MAXIMUM 2 ROUNDS ALLOWED PER HORSE

Ground levy = R200 PER HORSE
Medical and Officials Levy = R150 PER HORSE
50cm classes = R200 per horse/ Rider Combination
70cm, 80cm and 90cm classes = R250 per horse/ Rider Combination
