The KwaZulu Natal South Coast will be playing host to the first ever Lettie Adventure Challenge at Umdoni Golf Club on 27 September 2014. Held in honour of Pennington local Nikki ‘Lettie’ Haynes, who recently lost her brave fight against cancer, the 10km obstacle-based trail run promises to be a fun day out for the entire family. There will be a range of distance options available for beginners as
well as for more seasoned athletes. Those who know the area will be well aware of the beauty of the surrounding tracts of indigenous forest and coastline, whilst the Umdoni Golf Club provides the perfect location for festivities. All proceeds from the event will go towards the Lettie Foundation. Nix was a true legend who showed us the true meaning of a hero, not only with her amazing smile but her zest to live life. This amazing girl opened heart to everyone she met. The Lettie Festival has done so many amazing things, there has been the Lettie Run, the Coastal Challenge, the Lettie Paddle, Lettie Ride and many more. There have been some incredible people heading these challenges up.
