Basangoma Game Ranch is situated in Northern KwaZulu-Natal between Vryheid and Paulpietersburg. This Farm is malaria free and blessed with a temperate climate all year round. Leave the everyday stress behind you and come and enjoy true peace and tranquillity here at Basangoma Game Ranch! There are over 20 Antelope species to be found on the property, large and small. These include Giraffe, Zebra,

Kudu, Eland, Waterbuck, Black Wildebeest, Oryx, Bushbuck, Blesbuck, Mountain and Common Reedbuck, Hartebeest, Duiker, Steenbuck, Impala, Springbuck (Normal and Black), Nyala, Bushpig ect. We also have the privilege of hosting 2 of the Big Five here, White Rhino and Cape Buffalo. Predators such as Brown hyena, Genet, Black-backed jackal, Caracal, and African Wildcat are occasionally sighted. The elusive Aardvark, Pangolin and Honey Badger also occur in the area. These include raptors such as Snake Eagles, Buzzards and Secretary Birds as well as numerous different Kingfishers, Hornbills and Sunbirds. Basangoma Game Ranch offers a Luxury Chalet with spectacular views of the surrounding bush and mountains from both the covered patio and the open plan kitchen / lounge. Comprising of Two Bedrooms (2 single beds per room) with en-suite bathrooms, 1 having a shower and 1 having a bath and shower. Bedding and bathroom towels supplied. Each bedroom has its own sliding door and patio, giving access to the outdoors. The open plan Kitchen / lounge is fully equipped for self-catering and includes all crockery, utensils, pots and pans. There is a 4-Burner gas hob, Microwave, Kettle, Toaster, Air Freyer and Fridge/ Freezer. Dishwashing liquid and dishcloths are provided. All Bed linen, Bath towels and Soaps are provided in the chalet. Please bring your own swimming Towels. There is a TV and DVD player in the lounge as well as a Fireplace, wood is supplied. A cleaner can be provided for 3 hours per day at an Additional fee. The chalet has Electricity but because of bad weather conditions or problems with Eskom power supply, the power sometimes goes out. Bringing your own flashlights or camping lights is encouraged.
