Paarl parkrun is family, pram and dog friendly! parkrun is open to everyone, from beginners to Olympians, from walkers to runners. You set your own pace, as you wind your way, on this flat course, through the beautiful arboretum of trees, all the while you are timed for your own benefit. The Paarl Arboretum is on the banks of the Breed

er River and in the center of town, as parking is limited, please walk, cycle or carpool, if possible, to the event. The start finish is at the northern entrance near the sports club.

Paarl parkrun Event #439, 20 June 2026,

This week 583 people braved the cold weather and ran, jogged and walked the course. The event was made possible by 23 volunteers.

Paarl parkrun Event #438, 13 June 2026, formed part of the 1 millionth event!!! And to make it even more special, we had visitors from Bushy Park parkrun attending our event.

The very first parkrun took place on October 2, 2004, at Bushy Park in Teddington, London, UK. Founded by Paul Sinton-Hewitt, this inaugural event featured just 13 runners and 5 volunteers and was originally known as the "Bushy Park Time Trial".

The concept has since exploded into a global phenomenon, with millions of participants running, jogging, and walking 5k courses worldwide every weekend.

This week 408 people braved the cold weather and ran, jogged and walked the course. The event was made possible by 21 volunteers.
