Come and join the best Master Age Category racers from South Africa for a Zwift series where you can contest a range of competitions.
The Masters SA Spring Series will be running from Wednesday 21 October to the 25 November over 6 events.
Competitions:
General Classification
UCI Age Categories
King of the Mountains
Points Classification
Combination Classifications
Teams Classifications
Groups are as follows:
Enter into the category that matches your age on your birthday in the current year.
A 30-39
B 40-49
C 50-59
D 60-69
E 70 and over
Female riders add 10 years to your age on your birthday in the current year to determine your category.
Zwiftpower will split race results into 5 year age categories. All riders will start together, but each 10 year age band will wear the same colour jerseys.
General Classification:
The first 20 riders gets points every race. Your best 5 out of 6 results will count towards your standing.
Points will be awarded as follows:
1st 20 points
2nd 19 points
3rd 18 points
4th – 20th 17 points down to 1 point
All other riders that finish the race will receive 1 point.
UCI Age Category:
Points gets awarded in each 5 year age category. Your best 5 out of 6 results will contribute towards your standing.
Points will be awarded as follows:
1st 10 points
2nd 9 points
3rd 8 points
4th – 10th 7,6,5,4,3,2,1 points
All other riders that finish the race will reveive 1 point.
Points Competition:
Points are awarded for the fastest times over the sprint sections on the course. This is an open competition and not age age category specific.
Results from all 6 races contribute you yours standing.
Points will be awarded as follows:
1st 5 points
2nd 4 points
3rd 3 points
4th 2 points
5th 1 point
King of the Mountain Competition:
Points are awarded for the fastest times over the KOM sections on the course.
This is an open competition and not age category specific.
Results from all 6 races contribute to your standing.
Points will be awarded as follows:
1st 5 points
2nd 4 points
3rd 3 points
4th 2 points
5th 1 point
Combination Competition:
Points are combined for the Sprint competition and King of the Mountain Competition after every event. The rider with the most combined points wins this combined points competition.
This is an open competition and not age category specific.
Results from all 6 races contribute to your standing.
Team Competition:
Team points are awarded for the top 3 team members combined times after every event. Minimum 3 riders and a maximum of 6 riders in a team. Teams need to be registered on Zwiftpower and riders must have the team name in brackets behind their names or face DQ. You have to start and finish the series with the same riders, you cannot change riders midway through series. All 6 contribute to your standing.

Please maintain an open Strava profile to enable the organiser to validate performance. Unrealistic performance may be disqualified.
You require power data from a smart trainer or power meter to compete, zpower is unfortunately not allowed.
