To the Members of OGKK Winelands.
It is with a heart overflowing with gratitude and humility that I pen this letter. As we approach a significant milestoneāseven years since the founding of OGKK WinelandsāI am profoundly blessed to reflect on this journey.
For many years, the vision of establishing a place in the Winelands where the true essence of Traditional Okinawa Goju-Ryu Karate could be taught and shared was merely a dream etched in my mind and heart. The path was not always clear, but the belief in the principles of discipline, respect, and perseverance ingrained in our art fueled this aspiration.
Seven years ago, that dream became a reality. Today, OGKK Winelands stands not just as a dojo, but as a vibrant community, a second home to many students of all ages who walk through our doors seeking growth, strength, and fellowship. Witnessing the transformation of studentsāfrom their first tentative steps on the dojo floor to achieving black belts, demonstrating unwavering focus, and embodying the karate spirit in their daily livesāhas been the greatest reward.
My sincere thanks also goes to every student and parent who has placed their trust in me. Your dedication and hard work are the very soul of OGKK Winelands.
To be able to dedicate my life to sharing this profound martial art, which has given me so much, is a blessing I cherish daily. As we look back on these past seven years, my heart is full. I look forward with excitement to the many years ahead, continuing to foster a legacy of strength.
Thank you all for being part of this incredible journey and for helping turn a dream into a living, breathing reality.
Arigato Gozaimasu.
Sincerely,
Nico Mong
