What started as a rugby 7โ€™s tournament has grown into a celebration of school sport, bringing together ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ ๐›๐ฒ, ๐ง๐ž๐ญ๐›๐š๐ฅ, ๐ก๐จ๐œ๐ค๐ž๐ฒ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ž๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ฌ and creating a platform for young athletes to compete, challenge themselves and showcase their talent.

Luan Giliomeeโ€™s rugby journey has already taken him from representing Boland at Craven Week to wearing the green and gold. He has represented SA Schools, the Junior Springboks and the Blitzboks, and was part of the Junior Springbok side that defended South Africaโ€™s World Rugby U20 Championship title in 2026. He has also represented South Africa A and made his United Rugby Championship debut for the Sharks, scoring a try against Munster.

Ahead of the 10th Marius Schoeman 7โ€™s, Luan shares why tournaments like this matter and the important role they play in creating opportunities for young rugby players to develop, compete and showcase their talent.
