The hasn't become any easier. Riders have simply become better prepared.

Yes, every edition has its own challenges. Weather, mechanicals and race-day luck will always play a part. But the one thing every rider can control is their preparation.

In 2026, 753 riders lined up. Only 20 withdrew, with an incredible 733 crossing the finish line – a 30% increase in finishers compared to the average from the previous three years.

If the Attakwas has always been on your "maybe one day" list, make 16 January 2027 the day you prove yourself wrong.
