Lood Goosen and Ignatius du Preez step up for Toyota Specialized Imbuko, while Arno du Toit and Keagan Bontekoning return with unfinished business after their 2024 victory, joined by Jan Withaar and Wessel Botha for Insect Science MTB 🤘.

Marc Pritzen and Felix Stehli from Team Honeycomb 226ers bring serious firepower aboard their Stoll Bikes, while teams including cvnr_sports, TPCT, Project Dream SA MTB team, , Team Realty Dynamix, DEMACON CANYON and Cycling and Multisport Performance Coaching/Kings of Neon Academy will be looking to upset the established order.

Three-time defending champion Samantha Sanders returns to the , this time alongside former winner Sarah Maré for Efficient Insure Infiniti Insurance Limited.

But the field is packed with proven contenders. Danielle du Toit and Roxy Kemp line up for Safari Essence Titan Racing Team, while Rachel Seaman and Bianca Botha, Luzaan Durand and Silke Bester, and Chloé Hopf and Lili Baber will all be looking to make their mark.

THE LONGEST DAY. THE FASTEST DAY.

Stage 4 belongs to the Klein Karoo.

Rolling out through Volmoed and De Hoop, the route turns north towards the Swartberg and the striking red formations of Red Stone Hills.

From there, expect wildlife reserve country, some of the finest singletrack of the week and a fast run towards Lategansvlei.

At 96 km, this is the longest stage of the 2026 — but with the least climbing, it’s also set to be one of the fastest.

Stage 3 changes everything.

Leaving the lush landscapes behind, the route heads deep into the rugged Klein Karoo — the Land of Thirst.

A stiff climb out of Louvain sets the tone before punchy jeep track carries you through Brakrivier and Kapteinskloof.

Then comes something completely new: a never-before-ridden section through Stolsvlakte and through Africamps Klein Karoo, before the final run into Oudtshoorn.

BACK UP THE DEVIL’S SHOULDER.

Stage 2 wastes no time.

You’ll head straight back up the old ox-wagon trail to Duiwelskop before swinging east onto some of the best trails of recent Cape Pioneers.

From there, a spectacular traverse along the northern slopes of the Outeniqua range leads into a fast descent towards Ganzekraal.

Then it’s north into ostrich and game country before the final push back to Louvain.

Two stages down. Three to go.

There’s only one way out of Wilderness — up.

From the ANEW Resort Wilderness, Stage 1 starts with 15 km of lakeside riding before the route heads towards Swartvlei, Oakhurst and some of the most exciting trails of the week.

Then comes the real test: Bergplaas, Duiwelskop and a final charge into the Louvain Valley.

Tough. Spectacular. Unforgettable.
