Due to severe rockfalls in front of Wilgewandel on the Cango Caves Road, this section of the road has been completely closed. As a result, Wilgewandel Holiday Farm will unfortunately be closed until further notice.

The safety of our visitors and staff remains our highest priority. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and will keep you updated as soon as the road is declared safe and we are able to reopen.

The past few days have shown just how devastating nature can be for our community in Oudtshoorn. Our hearts go out to Cango Wildlife Ranch after the terrible flood damage they have suffered.

For years, Cango Wildlife Ranch has always been one of the first to step in and help wherever they can — supporting local causes, uplifting the community, educating our children, and caring for the incredible animals that call Oudtshoorn home.

Now it is our turn to stand behind them.

Despite the destruction, one miracle remains: every single animal was saved. Their staff worked tirelessly through the night in dangerous conditions to protect over 300 animals. That kind of dedication deserves our support.

Wilgewandel would like to encourage everyone in our community and beyond to please help in any way possible — whether through a donation, sharing their post, or simply spreading the word.

No contribution is too small. Together we can help them rebuild stronger than before.

Oudtshoorn stands together. ❤️

As gevolg van die swaar reënval en 'n aansienlike rotsstorting op die pad na ons toe (soos gesien op die foto), is Wilgewandel Holiday Farm ongelukkig gesluit vir Saterdag, 9 Mei en Sondag, 10 Mei.

Die veiligheid van ons besoekers en personeel is ons top prioriteit. Ons vra verskoning vir enige ongerief en sal julle op hoogte hou sodra die pad weer veilig verklaar is en ons ons deure kan heropen.

Bly asseblief veilig!

Due to the heavy rainfall and a significant rockfall on the road leading to us (as shown in the photo), Wilgewandel will unfortunately be closed this Saturday, May 9th, and Sunday, May 10th.
