Learning to handle the power of the sea takes time, and one of the most important things is understanding where the current is and where it’s safe to stay. I always make sure they know how to read the water, because things can change quickly out there.

Great effort from these riders, pulling into the waves and riding them all the way. That’s what progression looks like: confidence, learning, and time in the ocean.

🇿🇦Always great having these three coming out and putting in the time in the water. Getting into the current is often the easy part, but breaking out of it and finding the right spot in the lineup takes a bit more understanding. Learning how the ocean moves, where the channels are, and how the waves break is all part of the process of reading the ocean. 🚀

Learning where to paddle, when to move, and how to position yourself on the bank is all part of becoming a better bodyboarder. It doesn’t happen overnight, but every session in the water builds that knowledge and confidence.

The more time you spend out there, the more the ocean starts to make sense. Keep showing up, keep learning, and keep bodyboarding. 🌊🤙
