What an incredible day of Tug-of-War competition at the WP/Winelands Championships!

Congratulations to all teams who competed and gave their best on the rope. Your determination, teamwork, sportsmanship, and passion for the sport made this a championship to remember.

A special thank you to Brakkenjan Toutrekklub for providing an amazing facility and for your hospitality throughout the day. Your efforts played a significant role in making the championship a success.

Thank you to every athlete, coach, club official, volunteer, and supporter who contributed to the event. Together, we continue to grow and strengthen Tug-of-War in the Western Cape.

Well done to all our medal winners and champions. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment have paid off.

The countdown is on! Join us for the WP/Winelands Championships hosted by Brakkenjan Toutrekklub on 20 June 2026 at Westcliff Sport Ground, H/v Ou Paarl en Bill Besuidenhout Weg.

Come and witness some of the best Tug-of-War teams in the region compete for championship honours. Bring your family, friends, and supporters for a day filled with exciting competition and outstanding sportsmanship.

What a successful day at the Western Cape Club Championships! 💪🏽🏆

It was amazing to see the growth of the sport here in the Western Cape. We had 107 teams joining the competition, and the support and participation truly showed how much tug-of-war is growing in our province.

A huge thank you to Goudini Tug-of-War for the amazing facilities and hospitality throughout the day.

Thank you as well to the marshals, supporters, coaches, and everyone who worked together behind the scenes — your hard work and dedication never go unseen.

A special thank you to our livestream team for all the hard work you put in behind the screens to make the event possible for everyone watching from home. Your effort and dedication are truly appreciated. 🎥👏🏽

And finally, thank you to all the athletes who came to compete and proudly represent your clubs. We could see the hard work, determination, and everything you gave on the rope.
