A day well spent!

Coastal Cleanup Day!

In just over an hour, we collected over 8kg of rubbish along Diaz Beach. Foam from takeaway containers was the worst offender. We also collected nurdles, plastics, glass, rope, cigarette butts, diapers, straws, metal, and clothing items.

While we didn’t find white sharks on our recent drone survey, we did find lots of Southern Right whales. This little calf actually got some decent hang time !🐳

What’s black and white, healthy and ready to go back to their wild ocean home?

You guessed it - these three African penguins!

Our new interns had their first shift at the Seabird and Penguin Rehab Centre (SAPREC) yesterday morning, where they got to meet these adorable waddling little fellows. After a great effort from the team cleaning pools and enclosures, and assisting with ‘breakfast time’, they were able to help with the release of three African penguins who were ready for the big blue again, thanks to the amazing ladies at SAPREC 💙

This past weekend our interns had some fun on their deco stop😃

After a fun 19.7m dive at one of our local dive spots, our interns met up for a relaxing braai and some good fun.
