Permits: Please grab your day permit before the ride from the Montagu-Ashton Tourism Office (located at the Montagu Country Hotel).
☕Bring along some coffee money for the post-ride kuier!

It’s the perfect, relaxed way to experience our trails, meet fellow riders, and soak up the beautiful winter scenery. See you tomorrow!

When you hit the Montagu Trails, your physical Day Permit or Annual Permit Board must be visibly displayed on your bike. 🚲 Parts of our trail network relies on the generosity of local landowners who allow access across their properties. Displaying your permit board lets landowners and fellow trail users know that you're an approved rider.

How to get sorted:
📍 Purchase your board: Pop into Montagu Tourism at the Montagu Country Hotel.
🔑 Gate codes: Printed right on your permit & correspond to the colour of the lock (remember to close all gates securely!).

Happy World Bicycle Day! 🚲✨ If you live in or have visited Montagu, you know that bicycles are pretty much part of our DNA.

For some, a bike is a way to escape into the mountains and explore the trails. For others, it’s a daily commute to work, school, or the shops.

Around town, bikes are literally woven into the landscape from the bright, painted town bicycles outside the Country Hotel to the rugged trails in the mountains. They are local landmarks in their own right, reminding us all of the simple joy of riding.

No matter why or where you pedal today, enjoy the freedom of two wheels. ⛰️🌿
