Unfiltered 016 Youth Media Network is building a bold, independent and community-driven media house—and we are calling on young people, experienced practitioners, freelancers and emerging creatives to enlist their skills and help shape this institution.

We are inviting expressions of interest from:

Editors and sub-editors • News and feature writers • Community reporters • Freelance contributors • Investigative journalists • Sports reporters • Opportunities researchers • Photographers • Videographers • Graphic designers • Podcast presenters • Producers • Camera operators • Video and audio editors • Social-media coordinators • Advertising and partnerships practitioners

Whether you are an experienced media professional, a young person seeking practical newsroom exposure, or a community storyteller with an important perspective, there is a place for your contribution.

Our objective is to create a platform that informs communities, develops young media talent, exposes opportunities, asks difficult questions and documents the stories that are too often ignored.

Contributors will have an opportunity to:

Develop and publish community stories
Build professional media portfolios
Gain practical newsroom and production experience
Receive mentorship and skills development
Participate in podcast, print, video and digital productions
Help build a credible youth-led media institution from the ground up
We are looking for people who value accuracy, creativity, integrity, community service and responsible journalism.
