A ride-off in polo is a legal tactical maneuver where two players ride their horses shoulder-to-shoulder to push their opponent off the line of the ball.
The goal of this maneuver is to gain control of the ‘right-of-way’ and to position yourself to make a shot without committing a foul 🌟

Polo for newbies 🌸

Ladies have two different handicaps in polo. They have a ladies handicap which is a specialized women- specific rating and a mixed handicap. Their mixed handicap rating is used when they are competing in tournaments with men and their ladies handicap when they are competing in a women-only tournament. This is designed to ensure fair play and allows players to compete to their true skill level in separate leagues.
