MTO Trails Lowveld MTO Trails has worked closely with the White River cycling community to formalise trails and create a world-class mountain biking experience.

We offer safe, clearly marked routes and a scenic, exhilarating experience. The trails wind through MTO Group's forestry plantations, offering a wide variety of trails for mountain bikers, trail runners, and hikers. All outdoor enthusiasts can explore and enjoy the Lowveld’s hidden natural treasures. The MTO Trail Centre is located at the old Pullscar Offices close to Klipkoppie dam. Offering secu

re parking, coffee and cold drinks over weekends and a swimming pool for cooling down, it is the perfect place to start and finish your day on the trails. Card facility, Zapper and Snapscan available, no cash. A permit is required to ride all MTO Trails. Permits can be purchased via the myMTO app or MTO Trails website.

Entries for our next Twilight Trail Run on 14 August are now open.

Start Time: 17:30
Venue: MTO Trails Centre
Distances: 4 km & 8 km
Theme: Glow in the Dark

Participants are encouraged to wear bright or neon clothing and accessories. The best dressed participant will win a prize! ✨

This event is also an opportunity to support *
Team Jabberwock. Four local athletes will be representing South Africa at the Adventure Racing World Championships in Corsica, France. Donations can be made during the online entry process to help cover travel and logistics costs as they proudly represent South Africa on the world stage. 🇿🇦

• Bring your headlamps – we’ll be running as the sun goes down.
• Dogs are welcome - on a leash

⏰ Online entries close this afternoon at 1:00 PM. After that, you can still enter at the venue (but you will not be eligible for the lucky draw prize.)

What an incredible day of mountain biking on 31 May 2026 at the Uplands MTB Classic!

With riders taking on the 5km Kids Ride, 19km Fun Ride, 35km XCM Half Marathon, and 65km XCM Full Marathon, the event showcased determination and a shared love for the trails.

A huge thank you to Defender Nelspruit, Uplands College, Tracey Russell and all our valued sponsors for their support in making this event possible.

Thank you to all the participants, supporters, marshals, and spectators who contributed to the fantastic turnout and atmosphere throughout the day. Events like these are only possible because of your support.
