Sodwana Bay Scuba Centre, known to its friends as Scuba Centre, is a PADI Five Star Gold Palm Instructor Development Centre.

Sodwana Bay is a unique diving destination with reefs that have pinnacles 5m high home to many pelagics that come and go. There are all different kinds of species of marine invertebrates, animals that have no spine like nudibranchs and octopus and crustaceans.

Here at Sodwana Bay Lodge SCUBA CENTRE, we offer PADI courses from Open Water all the way up to Instructors. If you want to try and dive and see what it is like, we recommend doing a Discover Scuba Diving course where you can learn the basics on how to scuba dive and explore the marine environment. It is an unforgettable experience!

ANOTHER epic dive in Sodwana Bay with Scuba Centre ! 😛💚 A whale shark was spotted on our dive this morning with the one and only Thobani. It has been a long time since we’ve seen one.

What an awesome sighting and it is good news to know that they are still around!

Sodwana’s Pygmy Seahorse (Hippocampus nalu) 😍😍

what a find! it is the first pygmy seahorse species found in Africa, living over 8,000 km from its known Indo-Pacific relatives. Measuring only 2cms in size, this tiny, honey-brown to red creature thrives in high-surge shallow waters on sandy algae reefs ranching from 10-17m.
It is believed to be a monogamous and social creature that mates for life and feeds on plankton.
