🚨 BREAKING SAD NEWS FROM THE UK 🇬🇧
A Nigerian man has allegedly left his wife and two children in Nigeria after secretly taking their passports during a family trip. 😳💔
According to the man, he had been thinking for years about how to get his children back to Nigeria because of the problems he had been facing with them in the UK.
His children are 18 and 20 years old—a boy and a girl. He claims his son had become involved with a gang, while his daughter could sometimes stay out for two days without returning home.
He says his wife always supported the children, which made him feel like he was always the “bad person” in the house. He also claims that his wife would involve the police whenever they had disagreements, and that he had lost count of how many times he had spent the night in police custody.
Four years ago, when his own mother passed away, he travelled to Nigeria alone for the burial because his wife and children refused to go with him. According to him, his wife suspected that he had another plan.
Then, in January this year, his mother-in-law passed away. His wife started making preparations for the entire family to travel to Nigeria for the burial, and the children were reportedly excited about the trip.
The man says he knew that if he told his wife he intended to leave the children in Nigeria, she would never agree. So he kept his plan secret.
When they arrived in Lagos, they checked into a hotel. While his wife went to take a shower, he allegedly took the passports of his wife and children and left the hotel. He then travelled to his hometown in Abia State, while his wife is from Anambra State.
He claims that because of their previous problems in the UK, his wife had always kept the children’s passports and never trusted him with them.
According to him, after realizing that they had already left Lagos and were heading to the East, he returned to Lagos and travelled back to the UK.
Now, he says he is finally back in the UK and feels relieved, saying he has “suffered enough” in the marriage and just wants peace.
He admits: “I know what I did was extreme.” 😔
💬 QUESTION FOR MY AUDIENCE:
Do you think he was right to leave his wife and adult children in Nigeria without telling them his plan, or did he go too far? Why?
