COMRADES MARATHON 2026 PERFORMANCE REPORT

Gijima Nkomazi Athletic Club proudly participated in the 2026 Comrades Marathon Up Run, showcasing determination, discipline, and resilience on one of the world’s most demanding ultramarathons.

The club recorded 38 official finishers, including one Silver Medal winner and nine Bill Rowan Medal recipients. Anthony Mondlane led the club with an outstanding finish time of 07:15:02, earning a Silver Medal and placing himself among the club’s top performers.

The club’s medal achievements included:
• 1 Silver Medal
• 8 Bill Rowan Medals
• 6 Robert Mtshali Medals
• 6 Bronze Medals
• 17 Vic Clapham Medals

Special recognition goes to all athletes who crossed the finish line, particularly Abel Mashele, who completed the race in 11:59:58, securing his medal with only seconds remaining before the official cut-off.
