After the Spiders delivered a five-star performance in the wins against Nelspruit, the captain of the side, Geraldino Dinó Ngwenyama (pictured), has urged his players not to rest on their laurels when they take on Malekutu Cricket Academy on Saturday, October 15 at Rob Ferreira High School in White River at 09:00.

Malekutu come into the fixture at the back of heavy defeats against Nelspruit and LVCC in their two opening matches, which has left the side at the bottom of the five-team league with no points in two matches. On the other hand, the Spiders are in third position with nine points with no defeat and two games in hand.

Malekutu have match-winners in MXOLISI SILINDA» Malekutu Cricket Academy and new signing, Rowan M Mashabason, who is one of the most economical bowlers in the league, will be out to impress.
In previous encounters between the two sides, they have served up entertaining matchups and cricket enthusiasts can expect more of the same.

Ten years has been a very difficult feet to archive as a leader or a visionary especially in a racially decided country like ours.
Malekutu Cricket Academy gave hope and in hope we believe.
I hope the new archivements and strides made by Thimothy Mthethwa MCA Development Director in getting the cricket ground finished before next year season will continue and become a successful one. Mpumalanga Cricket union has also changed its approach towards transformation and black cricketers in our province and this is a very beautiful thing to see.

MCA U19 lost on Saturday against UplandsCollege by 8 wickets after batting first and scoring 80 all out in a pro 20 game.
This was a huge leap by coach Thabo who decided to take the U15 side and made them play in the 1st side league
The boys held their own and we hope they will do well in their next game

MCA 1st team lost the derby on Saturday against their great rival Nelspruit 1st side in the Mpumalanga Premier League.
The game was the most tense and very difficult game for both side this season. MCA batted first and scored 176 all out after a wonderful start by their opening batsman Nathi Ngwenyama after 44/0 in 8 overs.
The middle oder led by Whiter Nkosi "the destroyer" helped MCA to a very respectable total.
Nelspruit got of to a horrible start after they were 22/3 in 4 overs.
MCA never took their chances and they paid a price and lost the game by 5 wickets.
