Happy Human Rights Day to our people of Mabopane, Ga-Rankuwa, Soshanguve, Winterveld, Hebron, Odi, and all surrounding communities.
Today reminds us that our rights also come with responsibility — the responsibility to build, to support each other, and to take part in opportunities that can change our future.
Let us encourage our young people, parents, and community members to pay attention to the programmes shared by government and local stakeholders — whether it is job opportunities, skills training, agriculture projects, technology programmes, or community development initiatives. These opportunities are there to help us grow, and we must not be afraid to participate.
Our communities have talent.
Our communities have strength.
Our communities have a future.
As the Bringing Back Odi Stadium community, we continue to believe that restoring Odi Stadium is part of restoring hope, sport, youth development, arts, and unity in our townships. A working stadium means opportunities. A working stadium means pride. A working stadium means life in the community again.
Let this Human Rights Day remind us that change starts with us.
Let us stand together, support each other, and keep pushing forward.
Happy Human Rights Day.
The future is still ours to build.
