The Loskop Dam Classic organising committee (KMSHK) and the entire angling community extend our deepest condolences to Francois and Santa Steenkamp following the tragic loss of their son this past weekend.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Steenkamp family during this incredibly difficult time, and we wish their other son strength and a full recovery as he remains in hospital.

Our hearts go out to you all. 🕊

Due to extremely dry conditions and strong winds, NO open fires are permitted along the banks of the Loskop River, especially on the Marulani side.

We urge all anglers to take note and strictly adhere to this safety notice. Let’s work together to protect the area and everyone attending. 🎣🚫🔥

Fishing licences will be available at the Loskopdam Forever Resort gate from 13:00 on Friday, 4 September.

The Parks Board will be on site to assist anglers. 🎣
