Community Spirit Shines Bright at Rose parkrun Lenasia Event #327
Spring was in the air at Rose Park this Saturday morning, 12 September 2026, as 195 vibrant participants gathered for Event #327. Whether walking, jogging, running, or cheering from the sidelines, the energy was electric as the community came together for another memorable 5km.
A warm Lenasia welcome goes out to all of our first-timers who took on the course for the very first time—we hope this is the start of a fantastic parkrun journey! We were also delighted to host several visiting tourists, adding a wonderful blend of new faces to our regular parkrun family.
Our four-legged friends were out in full force as well, tails wagging with enthusiasm every step of the way along the route.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our dedicated team of volunteers whose selfless efforts make every event possible week after week. From setup to barcode scanning and tail walking, your enthusiasm keeps Rose parkrun thriving.

Cold Rain Can’t Dampen Spirits at Rose parkrun Event #326

Spring may have officially arrived, but Saturday, 5th September, brought an unusually cold and wet morning to Lenasia. Despite the chilly drizzle and damp track, the warm community spirit at Rose parkrun was out in full force as 79 dedicated runners, joggers, and walkers gathered to complete event #326.

The damp conditions didn't slow down the enthusiasm on the course. The morning saw a wonderful mix of regular faces, first-timers braving the weather for their very first parkrun, and visiting tourists who brought along their four-legged friends, making it a lively outing for both two-legged and four-legged participants.

The highlight of the morning was a fantastic milestone celebration. A huge congratulations goes to Damini Lalla on completing her 100th parkrun milestone! What makes Damini’s achievement even more special is that every single one of her 100 parkruns has been completed right here at our very own Rose parkrun—a true testament to loyalty and local parkrun dedication.

A massive thank you goes out to our incredible volunteers who stood out in the cold and wet weather to ensure the event ran smoothly and safely. Rain or shine, the warmth of the Rose parkrun community continues to shine bright!

A Double Celebration of Milestones and Community Spirit at Rose parkrun Event 325

It was another bright and energetic morning at Rose Park as 183 participants walked, jogged, and ran their way through Event 325 on Saturday, 29 August 2026.

The route was filled with great enthusiasm, welcoming both first-time newcomers taking on their very first 5km and visiting parkrun tourists who joined in on the local atmosphere.

The morning was extra special as the community came together to celebrate significant personal milestones:

Shahil Valabh officially entered the century club by completing his 100th parkrun, a fantastic testament to consistency and dedication.

Vijay Naran reached a staggering 200th volunteer milestone, selflessly giving back to make our event possible week after week.

Vijay’s achievement follows hot on the heels of his son, Yashil Naran, who earned his own 200th volunteer milestone just last week! Dedication clearly runs in the family, and the Rose parkrun community is immensely grateful for the incredible effort the Naran family puts into keeping our weekly event smooth and welcoming.

A massive thank you goes out to all the volunteers who gave up their morning to time, marshal, scan, and encourage every single participant across the finish line.

Whether you ran a personal best, achieved a milestone, or simply enjoyed a brisk morning walk with friends, thank you for making Event 325 a memorable one. See you all next Saturday at 08:00! Remember as we welcome Spring and the warmer weather bring along your water bottles

Community Spirit Soars at Rose parkrun Lenasia Event #324

A crisp Saturday morning set the perfect backdrop for Rose parkrun Lenasia’s 324th event on 22 August 2026, bringing together 194 enthusiastic runners, joggers, and walkers. The vibrant crowd included a strong showing of first-timers, a wonderful contingent of energetic youngsters, and several visiting tourists who added to the morning’s cheerful atmosphere.

Beyond the energetic laps around the park, event #324 was defined by impressive achievements on both the course and behind the scenes.

Yashil Naran: 200th Volunteer credit

Suraya Ballim: 150th Volunteer credit

Reaching 100 runs is a testament to dedicated Saturday mornings, but the extraordinary dedication of Yashil and Suraya highlights the true backbone of our event. High-fives, warm applause, and celebratory energy made these milestones extra special for the entire community.

It was wonderful to see participant Devdatt Vallabh back at parkrun after suffering a stroke 16 months ago, Dave, as he is popular known as, is still recovering and decided to come out and volunteer as a barcode scanner. Welcome back Dave

Rose parkrun Event #323: A Morning of Milestones, Masala Tea, and Community Spirit

Bright smiles, crisp morning air, and an incredible buzz of excitement set the scene at Rose parkrun, Lenasia, for Event #323. A total of 182 participants walked, jogged, and ran their way through the course, joined by enthusiastic first-timers, welcoming parkrun tourists, and a few happy four-legged friends keeping pace along the route.

The morning was packed with personal triumphs as four dedicated parkrunners reached major milestones:

50th Parkruns: Hearty congratulations to Leyaket Fray and on earning his red milestone shirt!

100th Parkrun: Devesh Purbhoo hit the century mark, joining the prestigious 100 Club.

200th Parkrun: Ismail Suleman achieved a phenomenal milestone, crossing the finish line for his 200th parkrun.

The highlight of the day was a very special double celebration for a beloved pillar of our parkrun family, Uncle Raman Govind. Having turned 81 on Friday, 14 August, Uncle Raman marked his birthday in style on Saturday by completing his milestone 200th volunteer stint!

To show their appreciation for his tireless dedication, the volunteer team hosted a festive post-race party in his honor. A massive thank you to Uncle Raman for treating everyone to his legendary, deliciously refreshing masala tea—the ultimate reward after a great morning on the track.

Thank you to all our volunteers and participants who continue to make Rose parkrun the warm, vibrant community space it is every single Saturday!

🌟 Rose parkrun, Lenasia – Event #322 Wrap-Up 🌟

Spring was almost in the air this Saturday, 8 August 2026, as 187 enthusiastic participants stepped up to line, walk, jog, and run through event #322 at Rose parkrun!

The morning was filled with great energy, brilliant community spirit, and fantastic milestones. A warm Rose parkrun welcome goes out to all our first-timers joining us on their parkrun journey, as well as our visiting tourists who came through to share the morning with us. Naturally, our favorite four-legged friends were out in full force, tail-waggings and all, keeping everyone in high spirits along the course! 🐾

🌸 Women's Day & Special Celebrations
With National Women’s Day taking place tomorrow, Sunday 9 August, we want to take a moment to celebrate, honor, and appreciate all the incredible women who make our community so vibrant, strong, and inspiring week after week. Happy Women's Day to all our incredible women participants, volunteers, and supporters! 💐

🌳💜 Rose parkrun Lenasia – Event #321 | Saturday, 1 August 2026 💜🌳

What a fantastic way to kick off Women's Month! Despite the chilly winter morning, 155 amazing walkers, joggers and runners joined us for another memorable Rose parkrun Lenasia.

It was wonderful to welcome several first-time parkrunners, visiting tourists, and, of course, our energetic four-legged friends, who always add to the fun!

A splash of purple brightened up the course as participants and volunteers proudly dressed to celebrate Women's Month. Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped create such a vibrant atmosphere.
A huge congratulations to Kanji Killa on completing an incredible 150 parkruns! What an outstanding achievement—well done on reaching this fantastic milestone! 🎉👏
