Happy Hearts Academy

Happy Hearts Academy Happy Hearts Academy is established September 2016. An Academy that entails Soccer and Netball. We also engage our players on Academics.

Established in 2016 to change the lives of young children who come from previously disadvantaged areas, by developing them to become quality football players, academic achievers as well as leaders in their own communities. We have huge partnerships that includes SACS, Ikamvalethu High School and other social development sights such as Ikamva Labantu an old age home in Langa zone 17. We love young talent and believe in Leadership.

Any matches organised during this period, will unfortunately fall away.

We will give you all a shout the moment we're allowed to safely return.

Presenting to you... The rebirth of the Happy Hearts Netball teams.

Last Saturday the netball teams enjoyed a full day of friendly games in Delft, Cape Town.

This was a wonderful experience as most of the girls in the team were playing for their first time ever, after three weeks of learning and training. But the children displayed a great deal of quality play!!

Thanks to the community of Delft for coming to watch the youth. We also want to thank those who came through because they heard that Happy Hearts was there.β€οΈπŸ’•

Team host name: Brutal netball club.πŸ’

We will be hosting netball games in Langa this Saturday, June 5th Johnson Ngwevela Community Hall. Leave a comment to get details about starting time!

Happy Hearts Academy management were traditionally invited to go see two our recently promoted players showcase their growth at Junction Rovers against Cape Town city FC.

We are proud to see our development players, β€˜Costa’ and β€˜Chansa’ competing well at the Regional League.

Although their team lost by 4 - 3 to the experienced CTCFC side. This was a special game to for the young lads as Costa scored his very first goal for the Rovers, and Chansa bulleted a magnificent free kick which ended up in the back of the net as well for their side.

Words from the players: β€œWow, thank you for coming to watch us, it made a huge difference in the way we played today. As soon as we saw you entering the stands something changed in both of us and energy levels increased. I guess we played for you…” – Vuyisa

We are super proud yet again!

Vuyisa Sigalelana aka Costa has joined the upper ranks in South African football.

He is joining Lwandile dlokova aka Chansa and Melikhaya Baks Zaba who recently moved to higher leagues from Happy Hearts development.

Like most professional footballers who have gone from zero to become the best at what they do, Costa has proven to be self driven and does whatever it takes to succeed. The kind of player who jogs from Samora Machel to Langa (with Chansa) after school just to be part of a 90minute training session with the team because he has no money to take a taxi or bus.

As Happy Hearts Academy we say, don't ever lose your hunger! People that are hungry are unstoppable because they make it happen, no matter what!

We hope that Junction Rovers FC will help you take your career to another level! Huntshu!
