The weight of discipline is heavy. It takes effort, patience, and persistence.

But the weight of regret? That one sits on your chest for ages.

So take one small step today; just one. Keep that consistent momentum towards your dreams.
Because showing up, even imperfectly, is always lighter than carrying “what ifs” tomorrow.

Boundaries can feel deeply uncomfortable for some of us.

For many women; we have been conditioned to devalue ourselves to serve our families, parents, children and colleagues.

So setting boundaries feels harsh, rude and scary. Mom's, caregivers and women leading businesses carry the invisible weight of trying to meet everyone else's needs as well as her own; and this can be exhausting.

Making small changes to how we protect our peace can significantly improve your quality of life.

This is a post for those in the helping professions.

I work with a lot of OT's, SLT's, vets and those in other medical professions.

Its so easy to get swept up into the needs of the people we serve. And often really easy to forget our own needs.

In order to be effective and leave the impact we want to; we need to remember to show up for ourselves.

There was a time when goal-setting didn’t inspire me. I was looking at everyone around me and comparing myself to them. It made me feel like I was on the back foot (according to their standards).

Behind as a mom / special needs mom
Behind as a business owner who was still showing up while carrying things no one could see.

Goals became another quiet place where I felt like I was failing.

What I’ve learned is this:
It wasn’t a lack of ambition.
It wasn’t poor discipline.
It was invisible weight of working towards what the world told me was success and not what I wanted .

This year, I’m choosing honesty over pressure.
Capacity over comparison.
And goals that respect the life I actually want

What are you quietly proud of right now?

Joy isn’t the same as being cheerful. It isn’t forced positivity or pretending everything is fine. I see Joy as a source of strength.
It is not loud, it is more a quiet strength that rises from a place that is deeper than what is happening around us.

When we understand that joy is often connected to encouragement, hope, and resilience, we can begin to understand the strength that flows from choosing joy.

It overflows from a heart anchored in love, purpose, and a quiet trust that goodness is still at work, even when we can’t see it.

If joy is a gift you’ve been given, let it pour out freely. The world is aching for it.

There is a kind of joy that doesn’t wait for life to be easy; it rises because you are held by a strength greater than your own.

Today is International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Get to know people who look, act and behave differently to you. The more you do that; the richer your life becomes. You learn lessons about life that go far beyond what your idea of success looks like.

I can promise you; you wont regret it!

Where are we searching for peace? I've been feeling pretty tired and a little overwhelmed lately. Feeling a bit disconnected.

I've been thinking about where I am looking for restoration and peace. Turns out I need to be a little more intentional about looking in the right places.

Noticing the quiet moments, my quiet time reading my bible or praying. Listening to the birds singing in the morning. That first sip of coffee. The extra firm hug of a friend. These moments are all around us. We just miss them in the hustle and 'push' to the end of the year.

I just wanted to encourage you not to miss them.

If you're interested one of my favorite Bible verses is Psalm 4 verse 8. Its a beautiful reminder and promise from God

Pause Before The Last Push:

We often try to sprint to the finish line at the end of the year. But real strength often comes from pausing, reflecting, and choosing what deserves your energy.
Before you push through the last few weeks, take a moment to breathe and ask:
What actually needs my attention, and what can wait?
Ask yourself what do I have capability and capacity for.
Future you will thank you for choosing with intention.

Eternally grateful to work in this space each day.
