Sovereign Food hosted their annual successful tournament where their workers were participating as part of wellness.

This initiative is very important and we would like to see more of companies and organisations coming together and partner with us. We believe this will motivate workers in taking part in sport activities, we also believe that it improves and strengthen relations between employees and employers.

Our Vice President Thulani Tshaka joined the management of Sovereign Foods in their presentation as they were awarding the 2026 winners of this year.

We would like to also appreciate our match officials who officiated in the tournament, with discipline and dignity.

OFFICIAL NOTICE: PASSING OF PRESIDENT MR LULAMA MBATHA

It is with deep sadness and heartbreak that we announce the passing of our President, Mr Lulama Mbatha.

President Mbatha passed away peacefully yesterday evening at his home.

We kindly request that you keep his family in your prayers during this very hard and painful time.

President Lulama Mbatha leaves us at a time when his work of stabilising and restoring order in our LFA was beginning to bear fruit. The football fraternity and our community are left poorer without him. He was one of the best administrators and played a critical role in the development of NODEFA, as his passion resonated deeply in youth development.
