"Please buy me a beer or wiskey" that famous words of him will be forever with our bowlers even if he is not playing bowls. And our Gold Rush man he is the man that start the Gold Rush Tournament many years back.

​On this historic day, 16 June 2026, the Krugersdorp Bowling Club (KBC) reached a monumental milestone: 110 years of camaraderie, competition, and community.
It was a day defined by reflection, celebration, and the shared heartbeat of our members.
​A Gathering of Legacy
​The clubhouse was filled with the spirit of our history, bringing together life members, current members, and our newest recruits to honor the journey that brought us here. We were privileged to host esteemed guests whose words reminded us of the importance of this institution:
​Andy Selby, Club President: Opened the proceedings with a heartfelt tribute to our club's enduring spirit.
​Dave Hammer, President of Bowls South Africa (BSA): Delivered a special address acknowledging our significance within the national bowling landscape.
​Brian Oxley, President of the Sables District: Provided an inspiring perspective on our club’s role within the district.
​We were also profoundly honored to hear from our life members—Cobus Smit, Joe Price, "Mr. Mac," and Tom Kneen—whose personal reflections bridged the gap between our past and present.
It was an exceptionally poignant moment to have our life member Ken Beveridge in attendance, grounding our celebration in the deep roots of our history.

Today was more than just an anniversary; it was a testament to the legacy we are building together. This day is etched in our hearts—a treasure of memories that will be carried forward by every member who was fortunate enough to witness this milestone.

If our beloved Egyptian Elm tree could speak, its branches would surely hold the weight of countless stories—tales of deep friendships, hard-fought victories, and the spirit of sportsmanship that has defined us for over a century.

Wilson Malobolo stepping onto the green with his brand-new Aero Quantum set. As many of you know, Wilson is rightfully called "The General" for his tactical brilliance and absolute professionalism on the rink.
​With this new gear, "The General" has officially become a biological hazard to his opponents! If you see these bowls heading your way, consider it a warning: precision, consistency, and pure class are incoming. They fit him like a glove, and his performance today proved exactly why he remains a force to be reckoned with.
