🏁 SWABUJE BALTIMORE 500 RECAP — WHAT A WEEKEND! 🏁
Dust. Navigation. Flat tyres. Broken equipment. And a whole lot of pushing! 🔥
The Baltimore 500 definitely tested us this weekend, but we never gave up and came away with a 4th overall finish and 2nd in class! 🏆💪
We started 6th on the prologue and went into the main race starting 7th.
🔥 DAY 1
Day 1 was a solid run. We kept the car clean and consistent, despite making a few small mistakes.
We pushed hard all day and managed to finish 3rd overall and 3rd in class — putting us in a strong position heading into Day 2.
💥 DAY 2 — THE DRAMA!
Starting 3rd on the route, we were ready to push.
Only 20 km into the day, disaster struck — FLAT TYRE! 😩
What should have been a quick wheel change turned into a nightmare when the jack broke and the wheel decided it wasn’t coming off the hub! 🤦♂️
We lost around 10 minutes, but instead of giving up, we got it sorted, got back in the race and started pushing again! 🔥
The dust through the bush was absolutely brutal, with visibility getting extremely difficult at times. The navigation was also seriously tricky, but luckily I had Keith Smith next to me, who was absolutely on point all weekend! 👊
We kept pushing right to the finish and managed to bring it home 4th overall and 2nd in our class! 🏆🥈
Not the perfect weekend, but a weekend that showed what this team is made of. When things go wrong, we don’t stop — we fight our way back! 💪🔥
