Thanks for another thought provoking pod ‘s and with Sport Psychologist ! Just a pity I couldn’t understand half of it! Must be because being fitterer is importanter!

Ja-ja, I know it is taken slightly out of context and it doesn’t mean you need to be dumb to be good at sports. It’s just easier for those of average intelligence… or so I will keep telling myself! 😜

First day of some more specific strength training, building towards Cape Town in April. I had to call it after only two rounds today as my right leg started cramping just a little. I have been focusing on slower, heavier strength (with my running) workouts recently to get and stay stronger so the slight lift in intensity must have got to me.

Let me know what you think of the plan for Day 1 Strength:

E2MOM (Every 2Minutes On the Minute)
1. Squat x 10-12 (60kg only)
2. Incline DB Chest Press x 10-12 (30kg)
3. Dead Lifts x 10 (100kg)
4. 1 Arm DB Row x 12 (30kg)
5. Walking Lunges x 8 both legs (20kg)
6. 1Leg Calf Raise x 10 (16kg)
7. DB Thrusters x 8 (15kgs)
