An update and massive word of CONGRATS for an exciting start to the season over the previous 2x weekends already for our KAKAA Coaching & Cycle Tours athletes 😊🎉🎉🎉

1st U23 and 2nd Overall MPU Champs to Divan Landsberg
GOLD to Miguel Carvalho @ Gauteng Provincial Road Champs 🏆🥇, and another podium 🥉in the Fastone the weekend thereafter
Top 10 in Vets 40+ for Paul Newman, Vivian vd Merwe and also Sibusiso Skosana in Gauteng Road Provincials
Stian Landsberg 2nd Junior @ FastOne
DOUBLE gold and Provincial Champ for TT and RR for Elisa Gianchino 🏆🥇🏆🥇🎉
And then a massive congrats on just finishing a super tough and HOT 🔥 🥵 edition of Attakwas for Deneys Van Dyk and Bennie Avenant as well as Tinus Scheepers, with Jan Withaar finishing in an EXCELLENT Top 10 on the day 🎉
Finally to Pieter Kirsten on being 1st in his Category in the Spinneys Buildup Race #4 in Dubai, while also well DONE for Renier Holtzhausen with a great personal challenge achieved over the past weekend

This week and weekend it's National Road Champs - definitely some FOMO from myself with great memories from several editions over the past years

Day 3: Calitzdorp to Oudtshoorn. The legs welcomed a flatter and fast-flowing route today after the climbing of the first two days. First stop at Celebratio Pomegranate farm was a real treat as the riders were welcomed by friendly animal faces and sampled some handmade 100% pomegranate juice. Second stop took them to La Plume Boutique Guest House for a delightful lunch while enjoying the scenic and relaxing atmosphere. Then onwards towards Oudtshoorn for some well-deserved RnR. Two days to go!

Day 2: Matjiesrivier to Calitzdorp. Epic adventure starting with a crisp and drizzly morning and snowcapped Swartberg Mountains! A beautiful visit to the Red Stone hills with interesting history, followed by a scrumptious chicken pie lunch at Kruisrivier Gallery. Lo and behold some rain and sleet just as we stopped for lunch! Luckily the sun made its way out for the next section towards Peter Bayly wines.. well worth the brief slipping and sliding that followed and a bit of vehicle 4x4ing to get unstuck. After a delightful wine-tasting the last stretch towards Calitzdorp awaited. A warm karoo fire and delicious home-made meal is just what is needed after an eventful day... Memories were made!
