Every day shark nets and drumlines around the world are killing vital (i.e. sharks) and harmless (i.e. dolphins) marine life to reduce the number of sharks in the area.

The SharkSafe barrier works by bio-mimicing the visual effects of a kelp forest and this, combined with magnetic stimuli, successfully deters sharks from entering a SharkSafe protected area.

For over a decade I’ve been working with a very talented group of scientists and engineers to develop the eco friendly Sharksafe Barrier. We hope that this barrier will one day allow man and sharks to coexist peacefully and and eradicate the need for detrimental drum lines, baited hooks and culling. We are running a crowdfunding campaign to get one more step closer to that reality. Please do support if you can via donating to this cause or simply sharing this to raise awareness.
