Running was never meant to be a sport of price tags. It was the sport of the child racing home before sunset. The youngster running barefoot on dusty streets. The dreamer who found freedom with every stride.
Today, too many aspiring runners are made to believe they need expensive shoes, branded clothing, supplements, watches, race entries, and a lifestyle they simply cannot afford. While these tools may benefit elite athletes, they should never become the entrance fee to participate.
If we are not careful, we will lose more talent to perception than to lack of ability.
Sport development is not measured by how expensive the sport becomes, but by how many believe they belong in it.
Let us build a generation that values passion over possessions, discipline over designer brands, and opportunity over exclusivity.
Protect the spirit of running. It belongs to everyone.
