It’s because they’re not building enough muscle.

Every year after 30, we naturally start losing muscle mass unless we actively train to keep it.

More muscle = better metabolism.
More strength = better quality of life.
More confidence = feeling good in your own skin.

Put down the endless cardio and pick up some weights. 💪

Guilt doesn’t burn calories

Use slip ups as a learning experience

Don’t feel bad. Just think of how you could have done better (maybe you couldn’t have)

Use that info in the future

It’s not about being perfect

It’s about getting a little bit better each day

The scale went up 4 pounds overnight and you think you ruined everything. You didn't. Your body holds onto water for dozens of reasons. Ate salty food? Water retention. Had more carbs than usual? Water retention. Started a new workout? Inflammation and water retention. This is completely normal. The scale measures everything — water, food in your system, waste. It doesn't just measure fat. Stop letting daily fluctuations ruin your mindset. Track weekly averages, not daily numbers.

I’ve been doing the same exercises for 25 years.

Sure, I alternate various movements and sometimes do different variations

But presses, pulls, squats, deadlifts etc never go away

No matter what your goal is, get comfortable with doing these core movements regularly

You’ll get stronger and better at each one of them

And the best part is that you’ll be able to look back and see how much progress you’ve made

That’s the kind of motivation that keeps you going and striving to be even better 💪
