🇿🇦 IM Caleb Levitan finished as Africa’s highest-placed Junior (U20) at the 2026 African Individual Chess Championship in Jwaneng, Botswana. A superb performance against the continent’s strongest players sees Caleb finish as the leading player under the age of 20 in Africa’s premier individual championship. ♟️

Chess South Africa proudly congratulates Grandmaster Kenny Solomon on winning the Blitz Championship at the 2026 African Individual Chess Championship in Jwaneng, Botswana.

Kenny produced a superb performance, scoring an outstanding 8/9 to finish clear first ahead of a strong international field.
