We understand that the COVID-19 lockdown has been challenging for all of us. This pandemic and national lockdown has created a truly unprecedented situation which affects us all. Our hearts go out to anyone who has been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly.

South Africa will be moving to level 4 economic activity on Friday 1 May 2020. Rietvlei Zoo Farm will remain CLOSED to the public as per the guidelines set out by the governments COVID-19 Risk Adjustment Strategy.

Under level 4, we would like to bring your attention to the following guidelines that confirm that Rietvlei Zoo Farm cannot open during Level 4:
(found under Personal Movement)
• Stay at home, other than essential travel for work and to purchase essential good.
• No recreational travel or to meet friends or family.
• People can exercise under strict public health conditions, subject to directions, which will exclude organised activities, recreational facilities, and gyms.
• Mandatory use of cloth masks (including home-made ones to cover nose and mask) and ensure hand hygiene when in public and at workplace.
• Elderly and persons with co-morbidities are encouraged to self-isolate and only leave home for exceptional reasons.
• Social distancing (2m away from other persons) to be applied in public when, shopping, visiting health facilities (pharmacies, clinics etc),
• All public gatherings are prohibited.
• Curfews will be implemented between 8pm and 5am

Remember that everything is not cancelled. Sunshine is not cancelled, season are not cancelled, love is not cancelled, relationships are not cancelled, reading is not cancelled, naps are not cancelled, devotion is not cancelled, music is not cancelled, dancing is not cancelled, imagination is not cancelled, kindness is not cancelled, conversations are not cancelled and most of all HOPE is not cancelled. Together we can overcome this challenging time. We will be reunited soon!

RIETVLEI SOCCER UPDATE
All Schools & Clubs have been advised by SAFA, SLFA & ELFA and will be following the Current Guidelines set out by the Government due to the Corona Virus.

Please be advised that ALL FOOTBALL (training, friendlies, tournaments etc) is cancelled with immediate effect for an initial period of 4 weeks, thereafter it will be reviewed in conjunction with the various Football Associations.

The Rietvlei Soccer office is closed and all training has been cancelled with immediate effect.
