If you want to live a life of your own making, you have to learn how to stop people pleasing.

The problem is, people pleasing is so widespread that we make it culturally acceptable, labeling self-sacrificing behaviors as “being nice” and “trying to be a good person”, not realizing that these tendencies are actually very dangerous. Little by little, people pleasing chips away at your identity, blurs the lines between your own desires and the desires of others, ultimately taking you away from your destiny.

The good news is, people pleasing is a learned behavior - so it CAN be un-learned.
Here are some tips on how to do it.

1/ Become willing to face the uncomfortable truth and recognize the cost of people pleasing to you and the real impact it has on your life.

2/ Make a resolute decision to change, and hold yourself accountable for that choice. What you are not changing, you are choosing.

3/ Start noticing your people pleasing behaviors as they happen on a daily basis. Self-awareness is the starting point: you cannot change what you do not see.

4/ Remember that you have a choice. Start behaving like your most authentic, courageous self.

5/ Learn the skills of authentic communication and incorruptible living. A great place to do this is The Firepower Group 5-week group program FIREPOWER FREEDOM PROCESS. We start on May 3.

Outcomes can not change if you don't.

So the real question has nothing to do with the duration of the change process. The real question is:
Do you want a different outcome so strongly that you are willing to change right now, this instant, in a heartbeat?
