At Jozi Youth Dance Company, we don’t just train dancers for competitions — we train high-performance artists for the professional industry. ✨
Many dancers dream of joining professional companies one day, and one of the first major stepping stones is auditioning for prestigious international intensives. These opportunities are rare, highly competitive, and being accepted is an achievement on its own.
We are incredibly proud to announce that our vocational dancer, Jadeline Gardner-Sandiford, has been accepted into ALL of the following international company intensives for 2026:
• Batsheva Dance Company Summer Course 🇮🇱
• Sydney Dance Company Winter Intensive 🇦🇺
• Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company Summer Intensive 🇮🇱
• Tulsa Ballet Summer Intensive 🇺🇸
• The Dance Lab Summer Lab 🇮🇹
This is an extraordinary achievement for a South African dancer and a huge milestone for both Jade and her trainer and mentor, Jayd Swart, Director of JYDC.
At JYDC, we focus on developing well-rounded professionals by building dancers’ profiles, CVs, performance experience, versatility, artistry, and industry readiness. As our dancers approach graduation, we guide them through auditions and connect them with leading international institutes and companies. Ultimately, success comes down to talent, dedication, discipline, and work ethic — and Jade has shown all of that and more.
What makes this even more exciting is that Jade still has another full year before graduating in 2027, yet she is already creating incredible international opportunities for her future.
With many of our graduates now working professionally in South Africa and abroad, and an exciting group preparing for 2027, we are proud to continue building pathways into the professional dance industry. We are also excited to soon launch our tertiary certificate in dance — designed to help dancers refine their skills, strengthen their training, and gain the stepping stones needed to access opportunities like these.
