My Story
Growing up, to say dancing was my passion seems like an understatement. I was captivated by how movement could make me feel so free and full of love. Every second I had, I was dancing. When I wasn't dancing, I was dreaming about dancing. Movement became my happy place. I danced my way around Joburg, South Africa, and even Germany and New York.
Then my adult life started, and I had to find a career. An office job, right? Wrong. My life had been way too exciting and creative, to now surrender to being chained to a desk.
So, my career in advertising started. I graduated as an art director and worked on South African’s top brands. Every day was different; Designing, filming, editing. But something was missing. No matter how exciting my life was, I felt lost.
So I took a leap of faith. I lifted my hunched-over shoulders, raised my head and returned to finish my dance teachers’ diplomas. How hard could be? I danced my whole life. Sure I had taken 5 years off, but I was young… ish.
