Isn't the mind interesting? ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿค”
When there is something wrong with the body that's all you can focus on.
Perhaps a sore shoulder, hip or foot.๐Ÿฆถ๐Ÿผ
And this tends to make it worse, doesn't it? Why? The strongest muscle in the body is the mind. So have a little chat with yourself. When something happens in your body it is trying to communicate with you - listen.โฃ๏ธ Focus on the body as a whole. The mental, physical & spiritual. Remember the physical involves nutrition too!

POSTURE - WHERE ALL THE BALANCE STARTS โš–๏ธ

The thing is we are not perfect and it's almost impossible to sit in this perfect posture position ALL day long, especially if you are desk bound. And generally you land up sitting in 1 of the 3 "not so perfect" positions.
I spend a lot of time training clients on balance and therefore posture. It is an ongoing and daily focus๐Ÿ”Ž that you simply need to keep trying and trying in order to keep your body in balance.
My advise follows:-๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ“–
Set a timer on your phone/laptop to beep at you every hour at minimum but preferably every half an hour.๐Ÿ•,
Then stand up from your desk, arms outstretched at your side, swing side to side 10x, with straight legs and then slightly bent reach for the floor for 30 seconds, take a short walk ๐Ÿšถaround, drink water! ๐Ÿ’ง
Once seated again, check in with your posture as per this pic, set your shoulders down and back, pull your chin into your neck, no tortoise neck, breathe and carry on.
It is important to strengthen the core, upper and lower back to support a good posture.
Leave the slouching to the sloths ๐Ÿ˜‰โ™Ž

Thank you to my dear friend, Tanya for braving the cold, and my precious Odie boyโ„๏ธ followed by a great gym workout. Odie didn't do the gym part. ๐Ÿ•Make plans to meet a buddy for a walk/run, gym workout, yoga or all 3. It really makes a huge difference when you can't cancel as some one is depending on you to be there. ๐Ÿค” And then you get to complain together about how cold it is, motivate each other through the workout and celebrate afterwards about how great you feel. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ You'll also find when you workout you are likely to make healthier food choices.๐ŸŒฑ

Or as in today's case, it's snowing. Just like life, our exercise & eating routines don't always go according to our plan. Pause - consider a change in the plan, not the path. Balanced eating ๐Ÿฅ— & exercise๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ is never an option, but rather a neccessity ๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ to living a full & healthy life.
Be prepared for life's challenges, make changes to manage eating choices & move everyday, even if it's a little, towards a healthier, stronger & fitter YOU! โ™Ž

"I will be better than I was yesterday but not as great as I will be tomorrow!"
Good Morning ๐Ÿ˜ This is a wonderful affirmation to start your day off. This can roll over from exercise to nutrition to general health and of course to life in general. Yesterday marked my last day of my 21days of 5 Tibetan Rites. I am proud to say I have not missed a day โ˜บ๏ธ I am going to miss not doing them and although I cld continue there are so many 21 day challenges I want to try, to challenge myself and work on discipline of a habit/ routine. I will share my next 21 day challenge next week.
