Time to let us know your thoughts PLEASE.
Speak up oh mighty runner – we would like your feedback, we have created a runners survey of the 90th comrades – by runners for runners.
Complete the survey by 4 July and results will be made public at the end of July.
Please Note: your race number is requested purely so we don’t get repeat submissions as this link is posted in a few pages and web sites.
So please take some time to complete the survey accurately and honestly.
Click on the link below and share it with everyone who ran.

This survey is a culmination of runners concerns and issues relating to the leading up to and running of the 90th Comrades Marathon. This survey will rank the severity of the concerns, which in turn will be delivered to the Comrades Marathon Association for urgent addressing and feedback.

It's not called the Tough One for nothing. Hill training at its best.
Luckily, the weather was brilliant and it wasn't hot...until the rain started. Then the children came out to play.... :-)
Much appreciation to the volunteers, marshals and traffic officers that stayed at their posts right to the end in the pouring rain.
Another well organised race by RAC.

Brilliantly organized race by Tshwane Municipality and free to all as a celebration of unity across the board. Great vibe, lots of entertainment, massive crowd of runners and walkers doing 27 km, 9.4 km and 5 km, as well as 67 km cycling and The Colour Run. All you can see are happy faces and South Africans doing what they do best - being joyful and friendly.

Inaugural Trail Run in the Cederberg Mountains, organized by Energy Events. Beautiful part of the Western Cape, up along the Cape to Namibia route.
The race starts in Sanddrif Resort, with lovely camping site and bungalows, at the award winning Cederberg Wine Estate.
We, of course, went for a full wine tasting the day before the race.
It was such an experience running this race, because the scenery was simply breathtaking. It was not an easy race, the type that would most probably be ranked as "challenging & knee breaker", in that it had an elevation profile of 3800m in 100 km, nonstop.
We were each given a preloaded GPS unit and a map to use along the route. But, unfortunately we still got lost in the mountains, both in daylight and in the dark and missed the cutoff at Check Point 4, so wasn't allowed to continue through the night. So officially, 63 km, but on our GPS 71 km.
Maybe just as well.
I did learn how to use a GPS now, so this won't happen again. We will be back.
