Former Zimbabwe captain Mary-Anne Musonda-Nhira has retired from all cricket after a trailblazing career. Part of the national setup since 2006 she played over 100 matches before Zimbabwe Women gained international status then featured in 58 T20Is and 16 ODIs.
Captain from 2018 Musonda became the first Zimbabwean woman to score an international century with her unbeaten 103 against Ireland in 2021. She said her retirement was shaped by timing and the physical demands of the game.
Musonda leaves behind a lasting legacy as a pioneer who helped grow womenโs cricket in Zimbabwe.
