On the 28th of May, I was completely caught off guard by my students. Before the next class, I was politely asked to wait outside the dojo for a few minutes. I had no idea what was about to happen.
When I was called back inside, I was greeted by an incredible sight. All of the students were lined up on both sides of the dojo entrance, standing side by side and bowing as I walked through. As I passed, they each handed me something, making the moment even more special.
To my surprise, I was then welcomed to a beautifully prepared table filled with cold drinks, cake, muffins, and other treats. Suddenly, everyone began singing Happy Birthday to me in celebration of my birthday on the 30th of May.
The entire surprise was incredibly thoughtful and meant more to me than words can express. I also received several letters from the students, and I must admit, they brought tears to my eyes. Reading their heartfelt messages reminded me of the impact we have on each other's lives and what this dojo family truly means.
I cannot thank everyone enough for the love, effort, and support that went into making this day so special. I am truly grateful to be part of such an amazing dojo family.
Thank you all for the wonderful surprise and for your continued support. It is a moment I will never forget.
