13 swimmers and two amazing support husbands, set off to the island for the start of our second Swimfinity Round the Island swim.
We had a few mechanical issues at the start but eventually all swimmers were in the water and the 7km circumnavigation of Groot Eiland started.
Weather conditions were perfect, and the water temperature varied between 16° and 19°.
The event ended off with lunch at LDYC clubhouse.
A huge thanks to our skippers, Boy, Patrick and Mpho, and our support, Grant and Skean.
Thanks also to all the swimmers - you were legends out there! ( Our two leading ladies who swam straight past the finish and looked like they were heading out for a victory lap - you energy levels were amazing!)
