South African Longboard Surfing This is the official South African Longboard Surfing page representing the South African longboard surfing fraternity.

The South African Longboard Surfing Association (SALSA) is an elected body representing the South African longboard surfing fraternity. The Provincial members of SALSA are:
•Western Province Longboard Surfing Association
•Southern Cape Longboard Surfing Association
•Eastern Province Longboard Surfing Association
•Kwazulu-Natal Longboard Surfing Association

SALSA is as an affiliate member of Surfing South Africa (SSA), the governing body for Surfing in South Africa. SSA is a member of the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) and the International Surfing Association (ISA). SALSA is responsible for the development of longboard surfing. The membership of SALSA is open to all males and females, irrespective of age, health status, race, creed or ability. SALSA aims to provide all longboard surfers with information about longboard surfing in South Africa. SALSA, in association with its member provinces, is responsible for organising and running the annual South African Longboard Surfing Championships.
