A long overdue note - apologies ! - my excuse was, and still is 🫣 that I was awaiting news that your book would be available locally, as opposed to having to order overseas via Amazon ... and I am very happy to report that this is now indeed the case, from a number of fly shops country-wide!
As writer and editor of 'Piscator', the journal of the Cape Piscatorial Society, for some 21 years from 1990 until 2011, Ed has played a significant role in documenting the history of South African fly fishing, and is currently hard at work digitizing these records, and sharing his knowledge, for all.
This book is no different, and a "one of a kind", putting all of Ed's collective small stream experience into a single tome - from tackle, to flies, to materials and fly tying. Having had the privilege of reading the chapters as they came to be, the relentlessly analytical fly fisherman that is Ed, came to the fore ... and I can say without any hesitation that I know no better scribe to put to paper the technicalities of fly fishing Lilliputian streams, requiring of that Delicate touch.
