The Forest knobwood (Perdepram)
πŸ’š
Always amazes us enroute πŸ™ŒπŸ½ Besides it's obvious description, a large number of this species have been studied and most of them contain biologically active benzophenanthridine alkaloids.
Did you know πŸ‘‡πŸΎ
Early records show that traditional medicine from the small knobwood was widely used, mainly for flatulent colic, stomach ache, fever, snake bites, toothache and as a mouthwash. It's an old remedy for epilepsy and numerous other ailments. The Zulu people use the leaves to heal sores, infusions of the fruits or leaves as a carminative medicine ) to treat fever and bark decoctions are used as mouthwashes.

"Eldor was friendly, fun and very knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed our drive up the mountain in the 4x4 and was blown away by the views.
He knew exactly where to take us so that we could fully appreciate the scenic beauty of Hogsback Mountain. We definitely will plan more trips with CamoHogs on our next adventure. Thank you Eldor, Ukiyo trip was awesome!" πŸ’š
