For my dearest Eirene

Some people pass through our lives and leave footprints that can never be erased. Eirene, you have been one of those people in mine.

As a little girl, your music was there. Every plié, tendu, pirouette, and grand allegro was accompanied by the beautiful music that flowed from your fingertips.

As the years passed, you remained a constant presence in my ballet journey. Through examinations, achievements, challenges, and ultimately my dance teacher examinations, your music guided and inspired me every step of the way. You were the smiling face over the piano, giving me, and so many others, comfort and courage during exams.

You did far more than accompany a class. You brought life, emotion, heart, and magic into every studio you entered. Your gift allowed dancers to move, dream, and grow, and generations of students have been privileged to learn with your music beside them.

Thank you for the countless hours, the unwavering dedication, and the extraordinary talent you shared so generously. The sound of your piano has become woven into some of my most treasured dance memories, and for that I will always be grateful.

Your music has been the soundtrack to a lifetime of dancing, and your influence will remain long after the final note has been played.
