Okay, confession: I didn’t only buy these because of adidas, or even Bambi. I bought them because of Audrey Hepburn. 🤍
Audrey has been one of those people I’ve always found completely captivating. Not just because of her style, but because there was something so effortlessly elegant and quietly playful about her.
I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve watched My Fair Lady, all 2 hours and 50 minutes of it. Or how many times I’ve found myself going down an Audrey Hepburn rabbit hole. 😅
So when I saw these deer print Sambas, my brain didn’t immediately go to “cute animal print sneakers.”
It went straight to Audrey and that iconic little fawn.
The Samba itself has been a classic for decades, originally introduced in 1950 as an indoor football training shoe before becoming one of adidas’ most recognisable lifestyle silhouettes.
I love that something with such a strong history can still be reimagined in a way that feels fresh.
Which is how we ended up here…. a vintage grocery store, a baby deer and my own little nod to one of my icons. 🦌
