Dear parkrun Family,
Great news for tomorrow!
Following the 16mm of rain we received on Thursday, we did a pre-event course check today, and we're pleased to report the course has been given the all-clear for tomorrow's event. The strong winds and dry overnight conditions should help dry out a few of the remaining sticky patches even further before we start.
We'd also like to take a moment to thank the Benguela Cove Management and staff for the fantastic work they've put into our course over the past few months. The repairs and maintenance to the crumbly paths and eroded terrain have made a real difference — it's looking great out there, and we especially appreciate the effort given this work was done alongside harvest season, scheduled estate maintenance, and emergency storm repairs.
Please note that the Race to the Sea cycle event is taking place tomorrow, with the finish at Benguela Cove. Our event is expected to finish well before the cyclists arrive, but we'd like to urge everyone to arrive early, as our usual parking arrangements have changed for the day. Please follow the signage and park in the area indicated for Overflow Parking, and arrive in good time to help us start on schedule.

There is some early morning moisture around but it is expected to clear before our event, and remain clear for the rest of the morning. Our event is going ahead - see you there...😊👍🏽
